Read Channel Family
Marvell uses advanced mixed-signal and digital signal processing technologies in our array of Partial Response, Maximum Likelihood (PRML) read channel products. Our technology incorporates an efficient data-encoding scheme in addition to advanced digital filtering and data-detection techniques. Our read channel products allow customers to achieve high areal density in addition to fast data transfer rates, delivering up to 1.8 Gigabits per second (Gbps) for their hard disk drives. Marvell read channels are designed in digital CMOS processes and utilize custom digital and analog blocks running at very high frequency while utilizing low power consumption.
